How was the name Maisey Mae chosen?

My sister and I were visiting family in England - it was our first trip and we were both were in awe of the beauty of the country. One foggy morning we visited Leeds Castle and while we were there I saw a beautiful little girl feeding the ducks with her Mom. She was all dressed up for the outing, wearing a fancy wide brimmed hat and matching coat. When it was time to leave, her Mom, in the most beautiful British dialect called her name, “Maisey, Maisey”. I’d never heard the name before and instantly loved it. On the plane ride home I kept thinking of the name, Maisey, and then came up with the middle name “Mae”. I went to college in the South and, unlike the North, a lot of people are called by their first and middle name. When I got home I told my husband that if we ever had a baby girl I definitely wanted to name her Maisey Mae! Being the Irish Bostonian that he is this just did not fly - way too much for him – and it was an instant no! This is how Maisey Mae Designs was born… my first baby girl!
